Sustainable living

Your residence or commercial space is connected to the energy system of Warm Heren van Breda. For the delivery of heat and cold, we use a climate friendly system: the heat pump. This allows you to comfortably heat your home when it is colder and cool it down in the hot summer months. Moreover, you always have hot tap water.

How does it work?

In summer, cold groundwater is used to cool your home. This water flows through floor pipes and gives off cooling. In the process, it reabsorbs heat from your home. The water that returns heated is stored in the ground. In the winter period, the system works in reverse and the warm groundwater is pumped through your floor pipes to heat your home. For a commercial space, InWarmte often provides additional cooling from the heat pump. In our manual you will find a detailed description about our energy system.

Manual energy systems

What type of device is in my home?

In your home or business premises, a delivery set has been installed with a meter to record the consumption of your heat and hot tap water. Your home's combined underfloor heating and cooling system and the hot tap water pipes in your home are connected to this tap system. In the manual delivery set you can find an extensive description of how a delivery set looks and functions. Furthermore, you can read which pipes are directly connected to the delivery set. You will also find instructions in the manual on how to read your consumption of heat and hot tap water on the digital consumption meter at the delivery set. The delivery set produces hot tap water with a temperature of about 60 degrees Celsius and a capacity of about 10 litres per minute. This capacity corresponds to CW class 5. We call this 'increased comfort'. You do pay additional fixed costs for this. You will find these costs under our rates. Do you not value the increased comfort and/or want to limit fixed costs? Then you can have the supply reduced to the standard of 8 litres per minute.

Property

The heat meter and hot water meter in your home are the property of Warm Heren van Breda. Do not hang or mount anything on, on, above or below the meters. The place where the heat meter or hot tap water meter is attached must be and remain easily accessible, for instance for calamities, breakdowns or for inspection or repair by or on behalf of Warm Heren van Breda. Also make sure there are no things standing nearby that could damage the meters. Is something damaged anyway? Please contact us immediately.

The indoor installation of your home is no property of Warm Heren van Breda. However, the indoor installation is a vital part of the functioning of our energy system. That is why we have set terms which the indoor installation has to adhere to. You can find the terms and conditions on this page: Responsibilities . Here you can find information on the underfloor heating and cooling in your home and how to handle it properly. We also briefly describe the functioning of the room thermostat. And we provide information on the different types of floor finishes. Modify, extend or replace? In a house with a connection to our energy system, installing, expanding or changing the (floor) heating or a (room) thermostat works slightly differently than usual. This is because all changes or additions must comply with our connection conditions. We advise you to have changes to your heating system carried out by or through Warm Heren van Breda or by a recognised fitter. They can also adjust the settings of your entire heating installation to the change. Changes to the indoor installation usually involve draining water from the pipes. Because you are not the only one connected to the Warm Heren van Breda energy system, we ask you to report your plans to us before making any changes. Then we will know that there is no leakage in the system and we can prevent a possible problem with other users.
